Ifeadikanwa Chidebell (Mokeme) was born at Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria, and educated at the University of Lagos, CAVILAM - l’Université de Clermont-Ferrand, Vichy France, and Stony Brook University, New York. She holds a the M.Phil (Doctor of Arts) in French Curriculum Studies, MSW in Social Welfare Policy Studies, MA in French Literature, and B.ED in French/English Education.
Ife’ taught French Language, Literature and Education at the University of Lagos in Nigeria, Le Centre Culturel Français au Nigeria at Kaduna, the Nigerian National Defence Academy, Kaduna, and also French and the Humanities at the United Nations Int’l School, New York, until 2000. Since 2009 she has also taught African Cultural Sensitivity at various private and public institutions and organizations in Iowa State.
Keen on Social Policy issues affecting Africans within the African continent, and the Diaspora, Ife’ has already published West African Spirituality for Social Work Practice (Authorhouse, 2004).
Currently, Ife heads the Bureau for African Families, a non-profit organization that provides culturally sensitive programs for New Americans.
Professor Nonso Chidebell-Emordi, Professor Caleb C. Chidebell, Dr. La Bonte Chidebell-Okpi and Solomon Chidebell-Gb are Ife’s children.view less
