Johnson answered her call to the ministry in 1993 and was ordained by the African Methodist Episcopal Church under the auspices of Bishop John R. Bryant. Since the acknowledgement of her call to ministry Rev. Johnson has been preaching, teaching and singing mightily about the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Rev. Johnson has served as pastor of two churches in Texas, one which she founded in McKinney, Texas. She has also served in the capacity of associate minister at Bethel AME Church, Greenville, Texas and currently serves at Warren Chapel AME Church, Dallas, Texas.
Her spiritual gift of administration has also edified the body of Christ through serving in various capacities throughout Texas as Conference Statistician, Coordinator of the Women in Ministry, Director of Evangelism and as Secretary.
Also, Transformer’s Ministry was birthed out of Rev. Johnson’s desire to minister to all of God’s creation, women and men, girls and boys alike; however her ‘passion’ is to the ‘women’. She is revered and beloved by many as “The Transformer”, God’s woman-on-a-mission to transform lives by teaching the word of God through the power of the Holy Spirit.
One of Rev. Johnson’s favorite passages of Scripture is Jeremiah 29:11, 13 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart”.
Rev. Johnson’s latest divine assignment is to write and share the message of hope found in her favorite scripture with others through the telling of her life story. Her story is one of love and friendships, struggles and sickness, hope and miracles, and ultimately victory and prosperity; Her best Life!view less
