He was a Professor of Pharmacology and Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He lectured to students and residents and conducted research in psychopharmacology and addiction. He published over 300 scientific papers and 7 books. After his retirement, he became interested in the history of German immigration to this country.view less
