His poems have appeared in various publications, including San Diego Magazine, the Garrett Clipper (his hometown paper), the Guild Anthology (San Diego Writers and Editors Guild, 2012, 2013), and Heart of Christmas anthology. His books include Say It like Shakespeare: the Bard’s Timeless Tips for Communication Success, second edition; How to Prepare, Stage & Deliver Winning Presentations, third edition; On the Road in ’68: A Year of Turmoil, A Journey of Friendship, and coauthor, with Jack Farnan, of Outdoors San Diego: Hiking, Biking & Camping.
Leslie Johnson-Leech majored in child development but ended up with a forty-year career as an adult educator, specializing in senior adult topics. She founded, wrote, produced, and directed over two dozen musicals with her senior drama group, "Forever in Their Prime Time Players," and currently teaches tai chi/Qigong as well as musical theater and film history. She is the coauthor of Prime Time Aerobics, a manual based on her years of teaching modified dance aerobics to seniors.
Tom and Leslie live in San Diego, California, with their two pooch pals, Randy and Sammy, also known as Salt and Pepper. They travel often, and their articles appear frequently in several publications.
