During that period she maintained a “library” of her poetic writings, which I estimate to be in the one-thousand-plus range. As a result of reading many of these pieces, I have come to the conclusion that it would be appropriate to prepare and publish a small segment (perhaps one hundred or so) in her honor. This book is representative of these writings.
To poeticide, Rose Wilcox Sliemers was a woman of many a word. Fortunately, however, they were the printed kind and not to be overheard. She was truly a poet as the writings herein do attest. But she was never a talker, as a writer she was best.view less
