She has been the handler of her certified professional therapy dog, Teddy, since 2003. Teddy, who retired from school in May 2015, was the longest-working therapy dog in the Clinton Community School District. Over her twelve and a half years as Teddy’s handler, Karla utilized him in her work to his fullest potential. Karla lives with her husband, children, and Teddy in Clinton, Iowa.view less
