Dr. Robert Beauchamp has extensive experience in the fields of geology, environmental science, and education. He was employed as a geologist and oceanographer with the US government. His travels an...view moreDr. Robert Beauchamp has extensive experience in the fields of geology, environmental science, and education. He was employed as a geologist and oceanographer with the US government. His travels and efforts brought him face-to-face with environmental issues. He went on to become a professor and director of the Environmental Management program at the University of Maryland University College. He developed a team of adjunct faculty who brought real-world environmental experience and background to the classroom. His faculty assisted him to accomplish the program’s overreaching goal, which was to continually respond to current environmental issues and future challenges by developing new courses, including adding pertinent topics in existing courses. He continues to teach part-time.
Dr. Beauchamp published a significant number of papers on environmental issues and technologies in peer-reviewed journals. At invitation, he also presented the results of his research on new and emerging environmental technologies at professional conferences. He currently resides in the Washington, DC, area.view less
