My par...view moreAs a young child, I was told that my wild imagination might one day lead me off the straight and narrow path. Like most kids in pre-adolescence, making strong friendships was always awkward. My parents told me that picking up a sport might help me with this part of my life, so at age 8 I picked up golf. Although I excelled at golf in high school and eventually obtained a college scholarship, in my own way, I was still struggling with self-confidence. But through hard work and perseverance, coupled with my continued imagination, I was able to fulfill one of the things from the bucket list I wrote when I was 10 years old: Writing a Children's Book. Through the story about fruits and vegetables feeling uncomfortable in their own skin, I hope that children of all ages can learn to love themselves for who they are and be comfortable in their own skin.view less
