He specializes in the teaching of Speed, Critical, and Developmental Reading, all of which he has taught at Mission College in Santa Clara, California. Allen claims that nothing gives him more pleasure than to see the satisfied look in a student's eyes and on a student's face when he or she has just learned something new about reading.
