“I See a Bee!” was inspired by Maria’s daughter. The book incorporates some of Maria’s daughter’s favorite animals as a baby as well as her first articulation of a complete sentence, “I see a bee!” This was an exciting and memorable milestone in the family because from there, Maria’s daughter’s language development soared.
Maria is honored that Pacific Book Review’s Beth Adams has classified “I See a Bee!” as “a foundation of word and sentence structure.” Maria is likewise honored that Jonah Meyer, of The US Review of Books, describes “I See a Bee!” as “a perfect early reader that parents, grandparents, teachers, and other caregivers can share with their young children.”view less
