Most of my career was spent in Post-Secondary Education and Training. During that time, I was affiliated with three different colleges. I taught Management, Accounting, Marketing and Business-Related courses. I also Consulted with and Trained employees of Business and Industry located in the geographic areas of these three colleges. The topics and assignments included: Quality Management & Leadership, Strategic Planning, Team Building and Decision Making, Continuous Process Management & Improvement, and Organizational Development and Management.
I spent over Ten years in Human Resources with an organization that employed over 20,000 individuals, of which over 15,000 were Benefited Employees. Most of my time was spent in the position of Executive Director of the Compensation and Benefits Department. The Department’s responsibilities included: Developing and Maintaining Salary Schedules and Reclassification Procedures; Developing and Maintaining Benefits for all eligible Employees; Developing and Maintaining Guidelines and Regulations concerning Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Decisions and Processes for a Self-Insured Organization; Maintaining and Improving processes associated with Unemployment Claims for a Self-Insured Organization; and the Development and Implementation of guidelines associated with Immigration and Naturalization.view less
