She is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Michigan State University, School of Human Medicine treating patients, teaching medical students and residents in hospital practice at Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Dr. King is a native Detroiter who trained at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in General, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She received her Medical Degree from the Wayne State School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
Dr. King is an active member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She has been quoted in the New York Times regarding the diagnostic challenges in Child Psychiatry.
