There are certain messages I would love for children to receive from this story. Asking them a few guiding questions after reading it might help land the messages for them.
1.Where do you think your magic is?
2.Baby unicorn’s magic didn’t work when he wanted what beautiful unicorn had – wings. Why do you think that is? When is your magic most powerful?
3.Baby unicorn’s heart reminded him just how much he wanted to cross the big river. But he really didn’t know how he was going to. But he didn’t give up. He listened to his heart and he believed he could cross it and he set off to do it. What magical things happened when he listened, believed and bravely started following his heart?
4.Pinky’s dream was to find dinosaurs. But in that moment her heart told her to join baby unicorn on his journey. And still her dream came true! How do you think this happened? Even when her heart told her to do something a little different to searching for dinosaurs? Does your heart know everything?
