A native Vermonter, retiring from IBM located in Essex Junction, VT where I worked in the Finance and Business Control department. At that time my husband, Leon and I sold our home in Williston and became snowbirds out of Florida until he passed away in 2006.
After 53 years of marriage with our two children successful in their careers and families I found it was time to open "Grams Story Box" to fulfill a promise I made to her as a young girl.
It was she that got me interested in Genealogy from a young age. Today our tree is on line with www.Ancestry.com with almost 3000 entries and pictures.
With laughter, tears and fond memories my missions complete and A promise fulfilled.
Mary Fortune Mossey Martin
Mary lived out her life near Lake Champlain in the Green Mountains of Vermont.
It was important to her that her story was remembered for generations to come.
She asked me, her granddaughter, to tell her story. She began giving me information,
pictures and documents over a 50 year period. I kept expanding what we referred to as
" Grams Story Box' Some whole stories and others just snippets or her thoughts.
Her life as she lived it and remembered.view less
