A 1978 graduate of Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky, he has spent most of his life in bi-vocational ministry. He was ordained into the Evangelical Methodist Church in 1984 and pastored churches in Western New York and North Carolina. He then moved to Eastern Pennsylvania where he worked for the Salvation Army as a Community Youth Director. His credentials were transferred to the Church of the Nazarene in 2000 where he pastored in Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Presently he assists at the Community Church of the Nazarene in Northfield, New Jersey and is involved in supply and revival ministries while working full time as a delivery driver. His work as a bi-vocational minister has helped him to maintain a realistic and practical outlook on holiness. Cultivating a Holy Heart was not a planned book. It came about as a result of the authors own personal devotional life.
Clemens has been married to his wife, Sharon, for 40 years and has 4 children and 9 grandchildren so far…. He presently lives with his wife and youngest son in New Jersey where he enjoys camping, fishing, gardening and serving his Lord.view less
