She adores real food and strives to find simple ways to prepare meals that promote well-being and will be enjoyed by her whole family. She grew up being forced to eat healthy food and later developed an eating disorder. This put her on a personal healing path which eventually lead her to pay it forward and help others on a similar journey. When she read that we are a nation of overfed and undernourished people she decided to do something about it. Hidden Treasures is one solution to this challenge by supporting parents who want to do the right thing but are often left feeling exhausted.
Aside from being a wellness coach for decades, she is the former Student Advisor, Senior for the University of Washingtons Program on the Environment. She holds a Master of Education with a focus on food and nutrition. Her work has been featured in the Seattle Times, Natural Solutions Magazine, Urban Page City Guide, and on several radio stations, including a weekly spot on Soul of Seattle. Former clients include the Port of Seattle, Google, CoolMoms, and One Sky Wellness. This is her first book.
When she is not at work you can find her playing. She loves preparing food, gardening, dancing, volunteering, reading, traveling, biking, swimming in natural bodies of water and boxing.
