Channer was born in the Cedar Grove district of Mandeville Manchester, Jamaica W.I. This is where he attended Albion Grade School, May-Day All Age Primary School and then to Linguine High School in Kingston.
He Co-edited a monthly newspaper. After that he later migrated to Canada then on to the United States, where he served in the U.S. Army. He is presently residing in the greater Hartford area where he is employed as a Correctional Officer for the state of Connecticut.view less
