When she began to suffer from depression, she experienced an abrupt transition from her accustomed strength and happiness to a weak, fearful state. She found herself in an unknown tunnel, totally lost. Leela decided to share her experience in the hope of helping others. This silent monster, as she calls it, comes suddenly and steals a person’s identity, rendering that person more lost than Little Bo Peep’s sheep. Her slogan became “I am strong, and I will overcome.”
