We met the Preside...view moreIn the late 1970’s I went to India for eight weeks of study and extensive travel with twenty high school teachers in the Nebraska Asia Studies Group under a Fulbright Fellowship. We met the President, Prime Minister, and many important people while we learned about the history and the people of the country.. We were told we would want to write a book about India, but it would be impossible. I agreed. When we returned to our classes in the fall, I attended a writer’s group in Kansas City and learned about the time travel novels. It was then I wanted to tell the story about the Sepoy revolt against the English army in India during the 1850’s. THE LOTUS BLOSSOM was the result.view less
