The fifty...view moreBorn in Oakland California, November 30, 1949 and raised in the Bay Area I’ve always considered the period of this generation as some of the most exciting years a person could experience. The fifty’s saw the Science Fiction of space travel become fact. We survived the turbulent Sixty’s and the freedom of the Seventy’s. We’ve seen an end to the Cold War, plus gained Internet Access to the world. Now as the 21st century dawns we face the insecurity and concerns of our future.
One must wonder at the senseless path of destruction by which mankind seems to govern its existence, as compared to the neat rhythmic beat of conflict, by which nature governs hers.
This world, men presently call home, will one day change and become our prison. Either we seek to escape this haven of today, or live within its hell of tomorrow. Science at one time compared the Earth to a living organism and described people as its parasites. If this is so, will not the planet find a way to protect itself and restore the balance of life and death, which governs us all?
For years I’ve written short tales and stories for local features as well as done cartoons for Web-Sites, this short novel, grew into a story I’ve always wanted to do after reading about the battle on Peleliu during World War 2.
