At present, he is Robinson Chair Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Kentucky, Lexington. His pioneering research work in solar cells, nanotechnology, electroluminescent displays and sensors has been published in 200 articles in scientific journals, and as U.S. patents. Vijay did his Ph.D. work in Electrical Engineering at University of Minnesota, where he met his artist wife, Carolyn (http://laudablemudstudio.com/).
