Bullying and teasing by fellow students coupled with his home environment caused the sprouting of low self-esteem.
His saviors were the teachers who recognized his high mental agility and superior scholarly achievements. The teachers taught him the refinements of the upper culture life, which included proper physical and oral hygiene. He ate at their lunch table, and frequently at their dinner table. This treatment supplanted the negative personality that was developing; it brought him out of the psychological doldrums, and established a confident young man with the positivity to become a giant in the academic world.
The dark side of his development was the sexual trappings that cascaded him into the world of intense love for romantic sexcapades. In his adolescent and early adult years, regrettably, girls were toys with which to play. As an early teenage father, he learned the hard lessons of his sexual precocious ways. He gleaned from boys on the street who eagerly had show-and-tell of their huge genitalia, and the sexual trysts of their involvement.
While progressing academically, he was regressing into a sexual abysmal pit. He overcame and emerged with a profound empathy for the marginalized and ostracized individuals of society. This book mirrors some aspects of his greater than life lifestyle.view less
