After teaching grief and loss to nursing studen...view moreI served for 45 years as a Registered Nurse: bedside nursing, BSN faculty member, Nursing Administrator, Curriculum Developer and Spiritual Director. After teaching grief and loss to nursing students, experiencing the loss of unborn babies, family, friends, and many patients, I was shocked by the anguish I felt after the death of my palliative spouse. As a poet my inclination was to write about the state of my soul in an attempt to understand this pain. I realized after healing, when reading Tolle and Wilber, that the act of writing was shining the light of conscious awareness on my grief, which opened the doors wide to healing. This book shares a 3rd way to heal from unhappiness, no matter it's cause. I wrote a book of my poems, illustrations, musings and writing prompts, "Love, Loss, New Life; Writing Your Way from Grief to Happiness" to help others find words for the state of their soul and find ways to shine their own light there and journey towards healing and happiness.view less
