As a youth, he wrote poetry, music, and short stories, still unaware of where writing could take him. Later into adulthood, he embarked as a sports columnist for a boxing website and worked as a freelance author. In his debut novel, Beyond Poetry, Jarelle debunks the folklore surrounding the American Dream by pointing out the “Hood Hope" which exists in inner-city America. In his spare time, Jarelle enjoys reading, fishing, traveling, food, and spending time with family.view less
