She graduated from Empire State College in 1982, with an Associate of Arts in Creative Writing, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology. She relocated to New England in 1997 for her job as a mainframe computer programmer. Ms. Donato is now semi-retired. She enjoys crossword puzzles, black & white movies, swimming, being active in her church, and (last, but not least) spending time with her current dog, Grady.
