Bea has always enjoyed churning out metaphors as natural as whistling classical tunes and dabbling in colors and shapes on paper. She draws from a mixed cultural background, growing up in the "garden state" of New Jersey and graduating in the Philippines with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, Major in Creative Writing, from Ateneo de Manila University. Being a freelance writer, contributing to several magazines, has given her some free time to travel to pursue her other interests-painting and music. She has had several solo art exhibitions in the Philippines and has performed classical clarinet pieces for group shows in Europe and Asia. Her favorite things include a good book, a pencil, and her clarinet.view less
