Ben Loeb has done extensive research in the

team building. He is the author of two published
books. His first book, Next Level Coaching: How
to Use Sport Psychology to Educate, Motivate,
and Improve Student-Athlete Performance, was
published in 2018 (Greenleaf Book Group). The second
book he co-authored which is entitled,
The Athlete's Playbook Building a Culture of Mental
Toughness: The Pyramid Model, was published
in 2020 (Championship Productions).
Ben developed a curriculum guide for a
course in Sport & Performance Psychology.
He has taught the course at Rock Bridge High
School in Columbia, Missouri, for nine years,
where he also coaches both the boys' and girls'
tennis teams. The teams he has coached have
won 1,138 dual meets (tied for most wins in Missouri
state high school history, as of year-end
2020), nineteen state championships, and forty-
one Final Four appearances (20 boys, 21 girls)
in his thirty-two years as a high school tennis
coach.
Before coaching at Rock Bridge High School,
Ben coached at Hickman High School in Columbia.
He also coached the women's tennis team
at the University of Missouri-Columbia while
achieving an Educational Specialist degree from
the College of Education (1988).
Ben has coached in many United States Tennis
Association sectional and national team events.
He has also applied sport psychology concepts
with his teams for 35 years. He has received many
coaching achievement honors, including awards
from the United States Professional Tennis
Association, the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame,
the Kiwanis Club of Columbia, the Columbia
Tribune, and the National Federation of State
High School Associations at both the state and
the sectional level.view less
