I got married at 18 and changed my name to Ebony Etheridge but we separated shortly after and I relocated to Florida and have resided in Miami and now in Port Saint Lucie. There I raise my two daughters Alexia Etheridge and Diamond Fowler.
I presently work at the local hospital here in Port Saint Lucie, Florida and write in my spare time. I started writing when I was younger than my daughters who are now 14 and 11…I remember being 7 or 8 years old and I would get in trouble by my teachers because I would be writing notes in class. I could not spell very well and still have trouble doing so but I knew how to express my sexuality at such a young age. It’s funny because I remember one time there was this boy that I liked when I was in second grade and I wrote him a letter about what I wanted to do to him. I explained how I wanted to kiss him passionately and how I wanted him to touch me. I don’t know I just had a strong since of how to express myself but only through writing. I have always been a very shy and timid person so I writing for me was a how I got it all out.
Moving forward about 6 or 7 years I began journaling my thoughts and writing more extensive letters to my boyfriends. I could never verbalize how I felt towards them but as Aaliyah sang I would write 7 page letters telling them what I wanted them to do to me and how I felt about them.
Fast forward 10 years and I wrote my first book under a pen name Star Fowler the book was titled “Intimate Thoughts” and that is truly what it was I wrote poetry and journal entries to help me heal from the pain that I had experienced in the past and the present pain that I was experiencing with my ex.

his new book Moist was more or less a joke that I came up with when talking to a friend of mine and she kept telling me that I had another book in me. At the time of writing “Moist” I was in a very bad relationship and I needed a mental escape from all that we had been going through. I came up with the characters of JaLisa and Richard and they just started talking to me. The story came to life but when I moved from Miami to Port Saint Lucie I got distracted and lost their voices four years later I picked the book back up, started visiting Miami again and was able to complete it.view less
