He is also the author of several mystery novels. After living in New York City from 1978 to 1991, Justin moved to Seattle, where he experienced the grunge scene firsthand. In 2009, he relocated with his family to Sayulita, Mexico, where he did a lot of surfing and writing before returning to a far less grungy Seattle in 2014. He passed away in 2017.view less
