After thirty-one years in the public schools, Carol began a ten-year career as an instructor at the college level. In between the two teaching experiences, Carol became a flight attendant for American Airlines. In 2001, she decided to return to her home and spend more time with her family.
Working with her granddaughter on a school project, Carol felt inspired to look for more information about an Indian battle that had occurred about seven miles from her home. The story was so interesting that she wanted to share it with readers who like adventure stories.
