There wasn't much about it that I liked; to say it was a struggle was an understatement. As a young adult, I was given some romance books to read, and there they sat for months and months. I finally picked them up and have not stopped reading ever since. Now, I read a lot, and when I say a lot, I mean a LOT! My kids are always telling me that I read a lot, sometimes too much.
I found the more I read, the more my imagination ran wild. And the best thing to do with these stories was to write them down.
I started writing on an ap. and have decided to progress into traditional book writing after entering a competition and placing remarkably well (in my opinion). Thankfully, my kids (3) and my husband have been very supportive of my creativity and reading. Although, most of my creativity shows up long after they have all gone to bed.
Some of the authors that have captured my attention are:
Melanie Harlow, Nicholas Sparks, Helen Hardt, Sylvia Day, Lauren Layne, D.A. Latham, Rebecca Zanetti, Kendall Ryan, Kate Meader, and the books that got me reading are by E.L. James (yep--I loved 50 Shades of Grey!). Find the right genre, and you will read forever.view less
