She attended Radford University, Radford, Virginia, for the first three semesters and then transferred to East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, Tennessee. At ETSU, Daphne earned a bachelor's degree in English, focusing on technical writing and research, and she minored in history, focusing her efforts on the socioeconomic effects of peoples, both soldiers and non-soldiers, during wartime and the years after. Daphne Matthews looks forward to spending the rest of her life with her husband of twenty-three years, Ronnie; her two sons, Joey and Jimmy; and her granddaughter, Angel.view less
