But I was always very particular about my choice of reading materials.I chose stories that were realistic yet maybe just a little improbable; not too easily solved; with descriptions and commentary that are important to the plot and not just filler that stops the reader from using his or her imagination and experience to personalize the story experience----these are the books I chose to read and the type of novel I chose to write.I always thought of myself as more of an editor but find unexpected enjoyment and fulfillment in creating a group of characters, guiding them through unforeseen events and then bringing them and the reader to the culmination of the story.Using my background in banking and finance, my first work reflects the type of book I like to read and think many readers will enjoy. It has also given me the desire to carry these characters into a second novel which is almost complete.Reading is relaxing. Writing is challenging, rewarding, sometimes frustrating but also strangely relaxing.view less
