He has approximately 14 years of engineering experience including 4 ½ years as a missile test engineer @ Cape Canaveral, FL! e.g. In response, to the grapefruit sized “sputniks’ which began invading the air space of the U.S. In 1957. On December 18, 1958, we launched “project score” which carried President Eisenhower’s Christmas message to the world from space….. This “satellite” was not a Soviet-style Sputnik but a towering atlas “missile” which weighed 244,000 lbs…which reached the escape velocity of 17,000 mph and was in stable earth orbit in about 4 ½ minutes after launch from Cape Canaveral!!view less
