Downer lives in Hampshire. His only training in the field of ART was an 'O' LEVEL followed by the completion of a foundation course at Portsmouth College of Art. Besides his love of gardening he has always had an avid interest in William Shakespeare, his works and life. Now in retirement, much of his time is given to the caring of others, whilst at the same time creating Shakespearean images of plant life found in his literature, sonnets and poems.view less
