He spent his childhood and academic years in Essex before moving to South Africa, working as a Project Planner in the building of power stations and then working up to a position of Project Manager in the Petrochemical Industry. From this, he went on to install various company systems as a contractor in the engineering field. He returned to London, where he lived for eight years before settling in Durham.view less
