There is no shortage of story ideas in her future as she has an extensive list of other novel ideas in the same and also different genres that are dying to jump right on the pages.
Stephanie grew up in Iowa, the heart of the Midwest, United States. In a family of seven, she is the youngest with four older siblings. From an early age, Stephanie developed a love of reading and storytelling. Generally, she was the friend who opted out of activities to stay home and finish a good book and asked for books as gifts. Always intrigued by mysteries and the paranormal, the first books she fell in love with were R.L. Stine's Goosebumps, in elementary school. As she got older she moved to R.L. Stine's Fear Street books and then progressed to more grown up novelists such as Dean Koontz and then Catherine Coulter's FBI Series. She also enjoyed the Nikki Heat Series by "Richard Castle." Currently she has been drawn to more lighthearted or cozy mysteries but still loves writing high intensity, crime novels.
One cold Winter evening, Stephanie decided she could do what her favorite novelists were doing and decided she too would write a novel... as a hobby. She severely underestimated the work and time that is put into writing a novel. She didn't zip through it like she anticipated. It was a long road from beginning to end. Even when she felt like she was never going to see the finish line, she pushed through because even though it was hard at times, she still loved the work. With a lot of research, writing, writers block, editing, editing, more editing, and encouragement and help from family and friends, she made it through.
Stephanie lives in Nebraska with her high school sweetheart husband James, their three children and their two Shetland Sheepdogs, Harley and Rose. They love taking trips, camping, and spending time with friends.view less
