She graduated from MidAmerica Nazarene University with degrees in Christian Education and Spanish and holds an M.Div. from Nazarene Theological Seminary. She served a co-lead pastor with her husband for ten years in the Church of the Nazarene and is now the campus pastor at Mount Vernon Nazarene University.
