(1811-1881) was an American mathematician and religious leader, who was an original member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Born in Hartford, New York on September 19, 1811, the son of Jared Pratt and Charity Dickenson, he became a member of the Quorum of the Twelve of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) and was a leading Mormon theologian and writer until his death. His published titles include An Interesting Account of Several Remarkable Visions (1842) and Absurdities of Immaterialism (1849). He died in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 3, 1881.
NELS BENJAMIN LUNDWALL (1884-1969) was an American author. He was born in Bozeman, Montana on February 26, 1884, the son of Swedish parents Martin Lundwall and Hannah Larsdotter. He had six siblings, including a twin brother named Magnus Joseph, who died 23 days after their birth. Lundwall was a prolific writer of religious books, including such titles as Discourses On the Holy Ghost; Lectures On Faith; Temples of the Most High; The Fate of the Persecutors of the Prophet Joseph Smith; The Fate of the Persecutors of the Prophet Joseph Smith Mormon; and The Vision or The Degrees of Glory. He died on March 24, 1969, aged 85.view less
