Huang grew up in Hualien, Taiwan. She graduated from National Taiwan University with a B.A. in foreign literature and languages and later earned an M.A. in English from Western Illinois University. She is a published author of short stories and novellas in Chinese. After working in the technical field in Chicago area for more than two decades, she retires from a Fortune 10 company. Currently she lives with her husband in Minneapolis. She has two grown children and two grandsons.view less
