She received her PhD in Learning Sciences and Human Development from the College of Education at University of Washington in Seattle. Her research focuses on learning design, bringing research into practice within blended, authentic learning environments where students become teachers and researchers. She has presented her research across the U.S. and in Canada through American Educational Research Association, ISTE, Serious Play Conference at DigiPen, University of Washington, GBLNY at NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Emerald City Comicon, The Learning Counsel at T-Mobile Headquarters, and various teachers’ conferences.view less
