In 1968, Nand was invited to join the Dominion Bureau of Statistics (now Statistics Canada) by the Chief Statistician and an eminent Canadian social scientist Dr. Sylvia Ostry. He worked as a senior researcher and project manager in various Federal Government departments, including Statistics Canada, Employment and Immigration, and Human Resources Development Canada. An active blogger on the Internet, Nand has discussed immigrant issues and challenges. He is an active member of several Indo-Canadian organizations.view less
