Bohannan graduated with a bachelor of science degree before attending Loyola University New Orleans’ College of Law, where she earned her juris doctor degree and special certificates in common law and international law. Mrs. Bohannan’s work has been published in the Loyola Law Review, and in 2002 was a speaker at the Symposium against Domestic Violence. She was the winner of the 2001 Association of Trial Attorneys’ in-house trial competition. She worked briefly as a law clerk for the Orleans Parish’s district attorney’s office and as a clinical attorney for Loyola law school, the latter with the Indigent Defender Board. She is a member of several boards, including those serving victims of domestic and sexual violence, and often donates hours of pro bono work to those in need. She has owned a small family law firm since 2002.
Raised an army brat, Mrs. Bohannan was the victim of childhood sexual abuse. Her personal story, paired with her love of the law, has provided her with a unique perspective that enhances her writing.
Mrs. Bohannan lives in the suburbs of New Orleans, a city full of mystery and romance. She boasts not of her academic or professional success but of her family. She is married to Brad Bohannan, who owns several New Orleans bar–restaurant establishments. Together, they have two sons, Deuce and Bryce. Her favorite pastime is watching her boys play sports and find their way in the world.view less
