model. Later she became a Spanish Editor of bilingual
textbooks for the Macmillan Publishing Company. In
1987, Mrs. Townsend joined the staff of Radio Martí in
Washington. D.C.
As Senior Editor, she covered domestic and international
news and was responsible for a one-hour newscast. Mrs.
Townsend is the author of the historical novel Cuba: Passion
and Revolution. She resides in Virginia and Florida, and also
lived in Portugal and Swaziland, Africa.view less
