in Memphis, Tennessee but spent the better part of her adult life in Martin, TN with her preacher husband, Paul, her son, O’Brian (Deeann) and her special daughter, Candace. Since she has always been a person who has had an intimate relationship with HIM, she loves sharing with others, the “camaraderic” joy of her relationship with GOD. She always told her “babies”, as she called her students, that she would write a book one day after retiring. This book of poetry is the beginning of the culmination of that promise. While Alma is a novice to writing poetry, she is an old hand at loving it! She fondly remembers the thought provoking discussions that took place in her junior high English class and her high school literature class. She says that she loves writing because it is a catharsis for her because she can share her deepest thoughts about beings and events (both positive and negative) that have scribbled upon the slate of her soul.view less
