She lives in Pasadena Maryland with her two daughters Lilian and Madilyn who inspired her to open "Welcome to Neverland" known for its fantasy characters, face painting, balloon animals and hand-painted artwork. Katie's goal was to operate her business while spending more time with her daughters, and in 2011 she took on a second tittle of "entrepreneur." She felt it was important to teach her daughters that it is possible to be a full- time mother and operate a business.
Family time is spent enjoying nature on day trips or visiting museums. The Family are natives to the Bodkin Creek where they enjoy fishing and relaxing evenings watching the sunset.
