Her educational career spans 45 years, having taught in Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Florida. For the past 17 years, Estelle has owned and managed Pinewoods Cottage Bed and Breakfast which she planned, and had built on 20 acres of pine trees and woodlands. She welcomes guests from all over the United States and Europe. Because of her love of drawing and painting, writing poetry and short stories, many of her friends encouraged her to share her unique talents with others. She is exploring different avenues of writing and story telling. Estelle has traveled extensively in the United States, France, Spain, Italy, Jamaica BWI and recently, Belize where she was able to visit an all inclusive school for two weeks and work beside teachers and student teachers in a program “Friends Across Borders” from Fredonia University, Fredonia, New York. This was an awe-inspiring experience and will give Estelle many ideas for future writing. Her “Before and After, The Antics of Three Franciscan Sisters” was published by Authorhouse in 2013. This book was a summary in poetry, artistic renditions and photos of three Franciscan Sisters in prayer, work, and play which she composed in 1958 as a member of the Allegany Franciscan Sisters. Estelle had been involved with her Community and Church for over 42 years. She is a member of the Board of Assessment Review, Hanover Chamber of Commerce, Lakeshore Women’s Association, and Eucharistic Minister in her Parish. She enjoys being there for others and serving them as much, and as often, as she is able.view less
