An ex-marine and a widower, Nielsen has been involved with technical journals, coauthoring one published book and producing many papers involving dyeing and colors. He writes humorous articles with morals for a local newspaper under the pseudonym Hill Bill.
As an avid Northern Pike fisherman, Nielsen tries to catch the nearest thing to a Qaakil that he can.
Retired, he now lives in rural Upstate New York.view less
