A teller of long and complicated tales even as a child, the young Master Coar would take to the dinner table spotlight, as if he were on Broadway. He would excitedly relate his “adventures” of that day. Be they a mixture of twisting facts, or a complete dustbowl of fictional yet fascinating sounds filling both his parent’s and his sibling’s ears, his stories blinded their eyes temporarily.
Since then he has been a writer his entire life; from creating school newsletters to writing a weekly newspaper column. Active in community theatres, he served as President to one after a long string of award-winning successes both acting and directing for the stage.
As Outreach Director at The Ritz Theatre, Inc., the largest live professional theatre in Southern NJ. he was a liaison to local schools and interactive community events held either at the Ritz or taken on the road. His shows had audiences on stage with the actors or vice versa! Wow!
Over his fifteen years there he had many of his own plays produced. Stephen left his position of co-founding member, director, and playwright, at the Ritz, and these days he writes freelance fiction full time. He is a member of the Garden State Storyteller League, an affiliate of the National League.view less
