He fought for the Liberians United for Reconciliation and Democracy, a rebel group in Liberia, before escaping to neighboring Guinea. He became a leader in the Kountaya refugee camp, helping to identify victims of war. Duworko immigrated to Canada in 2005 and has founded three organizations to help children of war. He lives in Calgary, Canada, with his wife and two daughters.view less
